OlamideVerse
A fan-made, editorial web experience chronicling Olamide's career as a scrollytelling journey through eras, albums, and cultural moments — a cultural archive with music running through it, not a streaming app.
Problem
Streaming platforms only have the songs, and blogs only have the news, but nobody has the story: the cultural context, era-defining moments, and lineage from Coded Tunes to YBNL Nation to the artists Olamide raised. Existing fan sites are generic and don't capture the street-hop identity or the scale of the legacy.
Solution
Built a static-first Next.js 16 archive organized around six career eras as its narrative spine, with albums, media, and stories hung off each era. Implemented a bespoke Afro-street editorial design system, a single GSAP-driven motion vocabulary with reduced-motion fallbacks, and Zod-validated MDX/JSON content. Audio and video are embeds-only (Spotify/YouTube/Audiomack) to stay licensing-safe. A Supabase-backed Fan Zone (favourites, polls, comments, playlists) and admin dashboard are being layered on top of the static archive.
